Background:
The company is undergoing a period of growth and change to meet the demand of its global client base.
The company’s customers include many automotive manufacturers (and first tier suppliers) and race teams through to industrial equipment manufacturers and more recently the shift to E-Vehicle technology. Currently approximately 40% of our turnover is in the U.K. the balance is in India and USA with a small amount in mainland Europe and China.

The Purpose of the Role:
A capable individual that is self-motivated with either experience or looking to advance their career. The role will require the development of spares quotations and technical proposals fully costed and able to develop both commercial and technical relationships with new and existing clients both in the UK and overseas. There will also be a small amount of contracts management, maintaining the current and developing new Service Contracts.
You will ideally be qualified to a min HNC / HND in an engineering discipline with more than 2 years in industry and ideally experience in a similar automotive background would be an advantage but not essential.
Reports to: Service Manager
Responsibilities Technical Expertise:
Develop a deep understanding of the company's products or services and stay updated on industry trends.
Compile costs for standard products and Services
Update and, where necessary, create the library of technical data sheets for standard products, accessories, services, and support data.
Presentation and Communication skills are essential to success in this role.
Customer Engagement:
Collaborate with the teams internally to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
Although you will be based out of the head office, in time, you may be required to travel throughout the UK and travel overseas to be present in sales meetings with your colleagues, providing technical support to assist with the closing of deals.
Pre-sales Support:
Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, quotes, and responses to RFQs (Request for Quotations).
Address customer enquiries and concerns related to product functionality, integration, and technical specifications.
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and challenges.
Work closely with the sales & projects teams to identify new opportunities and contribute to account growth.
When necessary, visit customer sites for sale and promotional purposes.
Product and Performance Feedback:
Gather feedback from customers regarding product performance and features and communicate this information to the product development team.
Keep up to date sales records.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Service, and Projects, to ensure a cohesive approach to customer engagement.
To work closely with engineering and standard product departments to ensure that the technical data base is kept up to date.
In conjunction with the Service Manager, take sales enquiries by telephone and written format.
Deputise for Service Manager in their absence and, where necessary, report to the Managing Director.

HNC/ HND qualified preferred.
Strong working knowledge of MS software (Word. Excel, Powerpoint, Projects)
