Job description
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for coordinating administrative tasks, supporting production activities, and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support:
Collaborate with production teams to facilitate efficient workflow and meet production targets.
Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, work orders, and production schedules.
Monitor and report on production metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Print and manage production orders against production schedule (post NAV improvements)
Enter current production data (pre-NAV improvements)
Monitor raw material/scrap stock levels.
Maintain scrap tracking, flake and pellet creation and ensure its booked to stock correctly (NAV)
Maintain material BoMs and Routings inc tool numbers, stereo numbers, press and stripping about times.
Maintain conversion tracking data.
Maintain production energy/material/labour usage per extrusion job.
Order Stereos and inks
Order conversion tooling
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain customer complaints/NCR register.
Maintain health and safety register.
Maintain stereo and conversion tooling registers.
Inventory Management
Conduct regular inventory checks to minimize shortages and avoid overstock situations.
Raise material, consumable, tooling, and maintenance purchase orders as required by production manager and maintenance.
Chase delivery of raw materials, consumables, tooling, and maintenance materials
Quality Assurance
Raise quality notices as instructed by production manager/quality lead/sales and obtain sign off production staff.
Maintain staff training records, production machinery, FLTs, Conversion equipment.
Help change and maintain IMS documentation.
Maintain HSE and compliance documentation like MSDS, material data sheets and
Communication and Coordination
Serve as a liaison between sales, production, logistics, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Progress chase production for sales either directly with customers or via sales
