Electrical Engineer
Focusing on electrical maintenance, mentorship and supporting the Production site and Distribution Depot; you will also work alongside our reactive maintenance team as required by the Engineering Department. This role requires detailed, effective problem solving and confident electrical fault-finding skills with the ability to take initiative and a proactive approach.

Electrical Engineer Duties
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role is hands-on. Key duties include:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on equipment across the Tewkesbury site.
Adhere to and adapt the current schedules, liaising with the Engineering Manager as appropriate.
Ensure compliance with current regulations, inspection protocols and required testing thresholds.
Conduct periodic lubrication and inspection of all machinery and equipment.
Conduct annual electrical emergency light testing in line with planned schedules.
Conduct annual electrical distribution testing.
To respond to breakdowns and provide reactive maintenance.
To repair and test all electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
To fault find and resolve issues
Supporting, educating, and mentoring existing team members
You will hold an electrical engineering qualification, with the following up-to-date requirements:
Award in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installation (C&G 2391-51)
18th edition regulations amendment 2
18th edition Onsite guide amendment 2
Guidance notes 3 inspection and testing amendment 2
17th edition may be considered acceptable for the right candidate; you will be required to upskill to 18th edition, and this will be subject to a training agreement.
Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
You will have experience of high-speed automated machinery within an FMCG industry. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to electrical fault find to a high standard, working with minimum supervision and completing tasks in a timely manner. You will be self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities. If you wish to apply for the Team Leader position, you will need to have experience managing and coaching teams of engineers; you will be expected to mentor & support our Apprentice Engineers when they are on site.
Engineer Shift Pattern
Minimum of 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Saturday
Shift times are generally 0600 - 1400; 1345 - 2145.
